What is Oracle 10g?

Oracle has long since been the industry standard for database software. The release of Oracle 10g is the premier relational dbas software. Grid computing is the next big wave in computing according to many high office executives in the tech field. Grid computing refers to the process that allows many networked computers to "work" toward a single goal.

How can I learn more?

Oracle training courses are available from many sources beginning with some "self-help" CD courses available from Oracle themselves. These are very inexpensive but they are indeed independent Oracle certification training courses.


The draw back to self-help CD courses is that, according to those who have completed the testing, Oracle certification training courses are very difficult. The benefit to having a qualified instructor should not be overlooked.

What levels of Oracle certification training courses are there?

Until recently there have been three levels of Oracle certification training courses:

• The Oracle Database Operator (DBO) who works as an assistant, with the day to day management of the system.
• The OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) is sort of the middle man, working with the administrators and developers, and enlisting the help of the DBOs.
• The OCM (Oracle Certified Master) has recently been added as a certification. As the title implies, this expert has the understanding required to vision, develop and implement dbas management of global dimensions.

Previously, the OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) was as high as a person could aspire in their Oracle certification training courses. These professionals are recognized to be competent enough to manage and develop dbas on an organizational level.

Database management is the key to the technological age. In very real terms, information is the most intrinsic component of this era. Within this realm of information gathering, Oracle is the recognized leader.
